DSP in 'Ceramics Training - Intermediate level' concluded on 21 June 2024 at Taba, Thimphu. 12 De-suups who have undergone Ceramics - foundation training including 2 De-suup instructors of Foundation training participated in the program for duration of 1 month. Ms. Lynn Teo from Singapore was the Expert Trainer. Ms. Lynn has been an independent ceramicist since 2010, and transitioned from a corporate IT career to full-time pottery.
The elegant ceramic products produced by the trainees will be displayed at Choego for sale soon.
Zimpon Won Sonam Thinley (Executive Steering Committee Member) attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected by the Trainer.

Seven Universities from Thailand presented honorary doctorate degrees to His Majesty The King, in a ceremony held at the Dungkar Dzong today.
Delegations from the universities travelled to Bhutan to present the honorary degrees.
His Majesty thanked the Universities for their meaningful gesture of recognition, and the people and Kingdom of Thailand for their genuine friendship and goodwill for Bhutan.
The Universities share a close connection with Bhutan, and have educated many Bhutanese students. The honorary degrees presented to His Majesty further strengthens the ties of close cooperation between the education sectors of the two countries.
